Ga. — Adam Scott’s shout of “C’mon Aussie” after he drained a long putt
that vaulted him into a playoff at the Masters last year echoed a late
1970s cricket jingle that became a country’s rallying cry. Little did
Scott know then that his countrymen would treat it as an exhortation.
A
year after Scott became the first Australian to win the Masters with a
sudden-death victory over Ángel Cabrera, he is back at Augusta National
Golf Club with six countrymen in tow. This week’s field of 97 includes
three Australian first-timers, who answered Scott’s implicit challenge
